It is happening

When the guys from Synthetic first approached me to turn the Hipstamatic instead an digital camera I have to admit, I was confused what that actually meant. As it turns out it is really a lot more interesting than I had thought. The iPhone application will recreate the experience of using the original Hipstamatic 100. I think that Winston and Bruce would be very proud to know that they have influenced a new generation of people that love to capture moments in time and pay tribute to what they wanted to do 25 years ago.

Ryan and Lucas gave me the news about an hour ago that they will be proceeding with the project and that the Hipstamatic should be available for download later this fall for people with iPhones.

Be sure to go to the new website for the digital Hipstamatic application, Hipstamatic App

Fun Fun Fun!!!

Been playing with the iphone app for a few days now, and its awesome fun even for a full time photographer.

I love the app! For the last few days I've been using it a lot more than my D90.

thank you so much for this incredible app

hi, I'm from Italy and I was born the same year as Hipstamatic, I didn't know anything about it until I've tryed (and the purchased) the iPhone app: it's great.
I was very happy to learn about this camera from your blog and very sad about learning about your brothers, I think that their idea was great: the chance to take a little cheap camera in your pocket and shoot at anything you like. Now on my iPhone, I've got the chance to use this app for less than 4€ (packs included), my mobile pictures have never been more stylish and that's great to have such a possibility in my pocket, it's inspiring me to take very different photos from the ones I use to take with my camera.

Borrowed my girlfriends' iPhone and i love the app.
Unfortunately, i use a Blackberry Curve 8900 and - an oldie but goodie - Sony Ericsson K800i phone.
Will this app be available for either Blackberry or Sony Ericsson phones in the foreseeable future?

Congrats, again.
Thank you :)

Hi Richard,
I've been using the Hipstamatic iPhone app for a few days now and I'm really enjoying it. Thank you for providing a little of the history behind it - your brothers, and their love of photography!

Sam

this is such a fantastic story & have seen so many great photos taken with the app--what a great tribute to your brothers!

I just started using the app, too! It's very nice. I'm using it more and more. Wish I was able to get a hold of one back then. Here are a few shots I took:

This is the best thing I have ever bought, really.
You have no idea of the amount of pleasure and beauty it has brought to my life.
I only wish your brothers where around to experience the joy and creativity they have given people.

The blackberry just isn't a good phone anymore. You need to get an iphone if you want the best of the best.
